Sunday, October 22 — Stir, Dinner      SOLD OUT

Join Robyn at chef Barbara Lynch’s demonstration kitchen and cookbook store for an intimate five-course seasonally-focused menu of dishes from Istanbul and Beyond, paired with wine. Robyn will be on hand to share stories from her research in Turkey and to provide context for the dishes, which will be prepared by one of Stir’s chef-instructors.
This demonstration class/dinner is limited to 10 people. Reservations will open to the general public, via Stir’s website, on September 16.

Saturday, November 4, afternoon — Collaborative Turkish/Iraqi Kurdish meal in Thousand Oaks

We’re teaming with Luqman Barwari, owner of dearly departed Kurdish restaurant Niroj, for an intimate meal featuring Kurdish dishes from Turkey and Iraq. Before Niroj closed this last summer it received a glowing review from Jonathan Gold.  Check out the menu and buy tickets here.

After a presentation by Robyn, we’ll lunch on dishes from Istanbul and Beyond prepared by Melissa’s team of chefs. (This event is by invitation only.)

We’re excited to be collaborating with chefs Laura and Sayat on two back-to-back brunch/lunches featuring dishes from/inspired by the Turkish Mediterranean province of Hatay. Think olives/olive oil, chilies, unusual cheeses, pomegranate molasses and fragrant herbs. Expect something a bit different than the usual Turkish breakfast!
